Hupy & Abraham Makes Neighborhood Children Stronger

The Neighborhood House Annual Celebration Dinner & Auction on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, was a rewarding occasion for Hupy & Abraham S.C. Under the theme, “You Make Us Strong” the fundraising event sought to support theNeighborhood House of Milwaukee, a successful organization serving at-risk children, families and refugees.

Neighborhood House Director of Development Deborah Hufford thanked Hupy & Abraham for their continued support over the years. “Thanks for being champions for our children,” she said in a letter addressed to attorney Todd Korb.

Neighborhood House in Milwaukee is active in the poorest areas of Milwaukee where the needs of children and families are great. Special programs focus on early childhood, youth and teens, families and adults. Others focus on teaching English as a second language to immigrant refugees, still others focus on outdoor activities, environmental education, health improvement, nutrition and physical activities.

Hupy & Abraham have supported educational scholarship programs for many years and the annual dinner was the occasion to show just how much of a difference scholarships make. This year, the award recipient was Robert Jones, a senior at Pulaski High School. Robert came to the Neighborhood House in 2007, and is now a member of the school’s varsity basketball team. After high school, Robert plans to study criminal law.
