Our Early Childhood Services (ECS) Program, founded in 1945, is one of the best in the city and has one of the longest legacies of excellence. In 1989, we became the first community-based program in Milwaukee to be nationally accredited by NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Step into any of our ECS classrooms and the hallmarks of excellence are obvious; colorful, sun-filled rooms are bustling with the love of learning, and three rooms open out to an award-winning, quarter-acre Garden and Play Habitat. We create a safe and intimate setting where children can learn, explore, play and grow. Nearly all our dedicated licensed teachers have been at NH for six years, and many for more than ten years.
