No doubt about it, stronger communities start with stronger families. That's why Neighborhood House offers many programs that bring families together. From our Adult Programs that enhance skills to our Family Fun Nights where quality time is spent, our goal is to foster solid bonds between parents and their children.Â
Beyond reaching out to area families, Neighborhood House gets involved on a community-wide level. In partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin, we support the Community Heath Improvement in Metcalfe and Concordia Neighborhoods Project (CHIMC) -- an inititative that addresses health disparities of the Metcalfe Park and Concordia neighborhoods. We also coordinate the Post Secondary Planning and Education Project. The aim of this project is to expand and enhance our academic support and tutoring program as a component of after school activities for participants ages 7-19. Project highlights include homework help, tutoring, ACT preparation, computer education, vocational planning and guidance and occupational exploration.Â
