For over 60 years, Neighborhood House has been an anchor of Milwaukee's near west side. An organization rich in history and accomplishment, Neighborhood house continues to impact the lives of families and individuals in the Condordia, Metcalfe Park, Cold Spring and Avenues West Neighborhoods.Â
Those who visit Neighborhood House are amazed at our facilities, our many programs and the breadth of our services. Our main location at 2819 W. Richardson (near the corner of State and 27th) is a 60,000-sq.-ft. center with more than a dozen large classrooms for our babies, toddlers, school-age children, teens, parents, families, and seniors. And we have a roller rink, gymnasium, library, in-house Head Start, study lab with over 20 computers, science lab, art studio, student lounges, three kitchens, including teaching kitchen, and a large meeting hall. Â
With diverse, innovative programs and talented, dedicated staff, Neighborhood House is an urban engine of activity that serves more than 8,000 children, parents and grandparents annually. Â
The Lynden Hill Urban Tree House is a place worth finding. A square block of urban green space, it is at the corner of 23rd street and Juneau Avenue near the Milwaukee High School of the Arts.
Located in the lower level of the Central United Methodist Church, the International Learning Center is a hub of activity. Once you find your way to the church, at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and 25th St, you'll see a small parking lot in the back of the church. The ILC is best accessed through the gray door nearest the parking lot.
Our Nature Center is a hidden gem, but well worth the trip. Located near Ashippun, Wisconsin in Dodge County, it's a rural adventure. Use the map below to help guide you there!
